The Wholesale Market.

Today I accompanied Ashley on a trip to the "Wholesale Market" - an 8-story warehouse with shops selling EVERYTHING you could ever need. Seriously. From the practical - kitchen appliances, electronics, and shoes - to the "I love China" earrings, wigs of every style, length, and hair color, and the most ridiculous hair clips you have ever seen - they have it all.

Entering the market, I had no intention of buying anything. Two hours and 8 floors later, I left with this:

My purchases: Cross-stitch, a new pair of sunglasses, I Love China earrings, a grindstone, and a key-chain flashlight that detects counterfeit money.

Now, in my defense, I did need a pair of sunglasses and my kitchen knifes are so dull they barely cut through a loaf of bread, so the grindstone was also a necessity. And the cross-stitch doubles as a souvenir AND a something to keep me busy right now. The earrings and flashlight, however, I can't really justify, but when I saw them, I HAD TO HAVE THEM. And they cost about a dollar total.

I guess I was kidding myself when I thought I could just "window shop" at the wholesale market. But for less than $10 USD (57 RMB), I think I did pretty good. :-)
