From Cambodia, Lauren and I flew into Bangkok, Thailand, where we spent one night and an afternoon (in which nothing exciting enough to blog about happened) before taking our fourth and final flight to Hong Kong where we spent one night.
At this point, I was tired. I was dirty. As much fun as I had had while traveling, I really just wanted to get back to the...relative comfort...of my apartment. So you can imagine how I felt when they showed us our room:
No joke, I think this room was actually meant to be a storage closet. It was so tiny, it just barely fit our backpacks and ourselves inside. On top of that, the beds were so hard, we might as well have been sleeping on the floor. Definitely not one of the finer hostels in Hong Kong.
I am happy to report that we made it through the night. I laughed it off as best I could, and I could not have been more ready to leave that place by morning. Unfortunately for me, my train ticket was not until the night. I spent the day wandering through Hong Kong, though by this point, it was my third time in the city and there wasn't much else to see.
The day was uneventful. As was the train ride. I arrived in Zhuzhou around 6am the following day, hopped on the #2 bus, and finally, after a month-long vacation, returned home.
