Sexy Women.

The past week, I have been doing a movie lesson that involves showing several movie trailers after which I ask the class three questions about the video: 1) What kind of movie do you think it is?, 2) What rating do you think it should be?, and 3) Do you think you would like to see the movie?

One of the trailers I show is for the upcoming Fast and Furious movie. For the most part, the responses for the third question are all pretty generic. “Yes, I would because it is exciting” or “No, I wouldn’t because it is boring.” However, I did get one response that both surprised me and made me laugh for 5 minutes straight (ok, so that’s a bit of an exaggeration, but I did laugh. A lot). Also, this response came from one of the lower level (as in, doesn’t understand about 95% of what I say, and can’t say much either) English speakers in class:

Me: Do you think you would like to see the movie?

Kid in class: Yes, I wooould.

Me: Why?

Kid: Because…sexy women!

Hahaha.

I don’t know. Maybe you had to be there. :-)

Also, apparently “Beijing Opera” is a kind of movie...
